Danny Royce knew this was a bad idea. A terrible idea. The worst idea in a long sad history of bad ideas. He didn’t have any choice. He was desperate.
He needed her help.
And it meant going back home…
Danny has spent the last eight years running.
His father was the alpha of the Wolves of Lupus Latr, the most powerful Werewolf Clan in Southern England. Born of an ancient and powerful line, his life should have been devoted to protecting his pack.
But when his father fell in a battle with the werewolves ancient enemy, and his big brother lost the rule of their pack, all that changed. His mother spirited them away in the dead of night, far far away from whatever fate the new ruler had in store for them.
Yet now he’s come of age, and things have come into motion that he can no longer run from. Now he must return home to Lupus Latr to face his old pack. However, this is not as simple as it sounds. For a wolf in exile to return home, first he must prove himself worthy of his pack.
It’s a dangerous road to walk, and should he survive, he would then have to kneel before the new alpha. Erza. A fierce and powerful she-wolf wielding mysterious powers.
However, Erza has an offer for Danny.
A proposal she can not afford for him to refuse.
And she’ll do anything to get him to accept…
Alpha Heat is the first instalment in the Wolves of Lupus Latr series. A sinfully hot reverse age gap, enemies to lovers, werewolf paranormal romance that sees Hamlet meet Underworld in a mix that’s anything but fluffy.

fanbloodytastic, extremely well-written book one of the best werewolves books I have read to date, another one to add to your collection

Danny and Ezra’s story was a hot and steamy quick read. Danny is returning home after eight years to get help, but things don’t go as planned. When Ezra offers him a deal, will he refuse or take her up on her offer? This book definitely left me wanting more…can’t wait for the next book!
Becky Simodynes –
Ok. This book one is full of alpha vibes. From a female and a male werewolf alpha. Holy moly. This is going to be an exciting ride! I was a little lost as to why things are the way they are. But it’s ok. It is more important to see where things are going. Throw in a lot of heat and steam and…..bam! We have a winner! Bring on book two.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This is the first book in a new series so be warned
it finishes up on a cliffhanger.
The plot was interesting but I found I was getting a little lost
until I worked out what the book was about.
The chemistry between the characters was interesting and grab
Looking forward to the next book to see how things are happening
between Ezra and Danny.

The newest book my LM Mountford is a fantastic read!! The chemistry between Danny and Ezra is magnificent… the storyline is awesome as well… Aside from the back story of Danny’s human interest being buried, I would have like to have known more of what he was going through with her, I definitely recommend this book if you are into a paranormal aspect. I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is a great start to the series. Can’t wait to read what happens next. Danny’s father was the alpha but was killed and then his mom took with away from the only life he knew. Ezra become the first female alpha of the pack. Danny started to get urges he didn’t understand and goes to the only place he knows he can get answers but he gets more than what he bargains for! A definitely read. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Tara Hammond –
Very fast paced! Loved it and can’t wait for the next installment. The chemistry between Danny and Erza is on fire! Definitely a must read!

Alpha Heat is a hot and steamy paranormal quick read that you won’t want to miss!
Great novella about wolf shifters.
Danny’s plight brings him to his ancestral home.
Plenty of un-answered questions I wonder if this will be a series? I’m guessing yes, and I have to find out about Danny’s brother, and what happened between him and Erza.
And, what about Jackie?
After what Erza did to the W’s alpha, how is she still standing!?!
Enticed? I am!

Totally enjoyable wolf shifter captivating page turner with some amazing characters. This book was incredibly interesting and exciting with some wild steamy sessions.
Alpha Heat by L.M. Mountford is a hot, hot, hot paranormal shifter romance with all of the elements that make a great story! Daniel is a rogue wolf shifter with a ‘normal’ life outside of the pack. A situation arises that creates the need for Danny to go to his former home, and face Ezra the Alpha, whom unseated his family from ruling. The homecoming is action-packed and incredibly steamy, leading to a hopeful outcome for all involved, but to do that, Danny has to make a deal with the devil, in the form of Ezra! Whew, I can’t wait to see what direction the next installment will take, but this series starter is fast paced and awesome!
I received an advanced copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

what an amzing read! I am in love with the cover! I had to keep the fan on so I wasn’t so hot and my phone wouldn’t fog up! Must read! The characters are great and full of lust! they grabbed my attention from the beginning
Sheri Lemay –
I loved this one. I don’t read a lot of shifter or paranormal books but I now feel that I’m missing out on some good books. This one may be a short read but it definitely has all the heat and alpha hotness. I can’t wait to read more.
Fran Reading –
This was a steamy wolf romance with intrigue and heat. It’s a reverse age gap tale, featuring Danny as the wolf returning to his pack, and Erza, the new alpha she-wolf. I loved the reverse of power going to the female, and also liked the way she and Danny lit up the story. I’m looking forward to more from the Lupus Latr pack!

This is only my second paranormal story. The first one was also from this author. Maybe paranormal stories are not really my thing but I just could not connect or click with the book. I also found it off-putting that Danny, even after having found his mate, was still able to bring himself to have sex with another woman. I also could not really feel the hotness of the sexual encounter between Danny and Erza. The blurb was great but the book itself was not as good. I like the other books of this author so maybe in the future, i will probably just stick with the non paranormal ones.
Candy Beck –
Oh my! That was some intense interaction between the two wolves and then Erza. I mean every time you read the sexual scenes that L.M. writes it’s just……Wow, you get all the feels and just….tingles. I never feel cheated when reading these short stories by L.M., he puts so much in his writing that you feel it and that’s a great writer. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Heather Steele –
This is a fast easy read. love me some werewolves and cannot wait to see what happens. Alpha woman and male this ought to be good.

Danny Royce returns to the small little village after an eight year absence. That is how long it had been since his mother had packed their bags and left the village in the middle of the night and he felt like he had been on the run ever since. His father’s family had been key members of the community since Roman times. He had been born and raised in the town up until he was eleven years old then everything changed when Ezra arrived to the town and everything changed. She had challenged his brother for the right to be alpha of the pack after his fathers death and she won.
He had left London and all of his classes behind because of the reaction that he was having to Jackie Hunt and she was also attending all of his lectures. He had almost kissed her earlier that day the beast inside of him calling out to the girl. Instead he turned heal and headed back to his old home to seek the help of Erza The Werewolf Princess, and his Alpha
I have to say that I am one of those people that don’t care for dominate women. I really didn’t know what to think about this Erza other than if she were a real person I don’t think we would be friends. Danny is having problems it seems in controlling his wolf. But Ezra also needs his help though her way of asking for it…well lets just say that it is unconventional. If you don’t mind really, really strong minded women, and you are not sure if they are not on the good or bad side of things this would be a great book for you. It has me wondering if this is just the start of the story though.
Alpha Heat by L.M. Mountford is the first instalment in the Wolves of Lupus Latr series. The story is about Danny and Ezra. It’s interesting, well-written. The characters are well-developed and have steamy chemistry. All drama leading to a job well done this author. Would I recommend it: Yes
I have voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced readers copy provided by said author and BookFunnel.

Alpha Heat was a very hot and steamy shifter erotica book (not to be confused with erotic romances. L.M. Mountford is very good with short, hot, and steamy erotica. I admit that I can’t wait for what will happen next to Danny in the next book in the Wolves of Lupus Latr. If you like short, intense, hot, steamy erotica then Alpha Heat will be right up your alley. Have fun reading!
Ashley Johnston –
This was such a steamy paranormal read. The heated scenes between Danny and Erza were so hot. It did however leave me with a lot of unanswered questions like where exactly is Danny’s brother, what is going to happen if they get into a war with the Wyverns, what will happen with Jackie, and is Erza pregnant. I really hope that the author is going to do a sequel so I can find out the answer to all these questions. The story was very interesting, extremely steamy, and a very enjoyable read.

I love Paranormal/shifter/Enemies To Lovers stories and this one is Fantastic. Danny and Ezra will make you crave more. Their heat jus burns off of the pages. Once you start, you are hooked. I cannot recommend this enough. You will need a fan to cool down. There is heat, steamy passion, the words pull you in and this is one you will read again and again. A must must captivating and blazing read..🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Liesbeth De Bruyne –
Loved this one so much! It’s the second book i’ve read so far and I can’t wait to read more of this author! If you get the chance, just read it! You won’t regret it!
Ingrid Vermeulen-Quakernaat –
A paranormal story with a steamy ending and unlike all the other paranormal romances I’ve read before.
Where in other stories the Alpha role is used by a man, there is now a female Alpha, the first. And with that it is immediately clear that it is a man’s world because no one wants to take her warnings of an approaching war as true.
Daniel (Danny) left his pack after his father, the last Alpha, passed away. As a dethroned prince he was no longer welcome and with his mother he left the pack. Now, years later, he returns as he seeks information that Ezra, the current Alpha, can give him. And even though Ezra is Alpha, under Daniel she surrenders.
A true Alpha won’t beg but can’t hold back when the heat takes over!
Highly recommended for those who love a paranormal story with a twist and passion.
I received an ARC from the writer but my review was given voluntarily

What a great way to start off a new series. I loved the action, danger.secrets and chemistry of the story and its characters. It is a quick but intense read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved that in this story Ezera is a she wolf and the one that holds the power of the pack. However she needs assistance from Danny who is coming home to his old pack after having left years ago. He has to prove himself to the pack. How far is he willing to go? What will Ezera do or bargain with to get what she needs to maintain her status as alpha of the pack? Is there a line that is too much and neither of them willing to cross? Check it out and see what you think. I loved it and can not wait to see where the next book leads me!

This was a great book. I am not a paranormal or shifter reader but enjoyed this one. Thank you for writing this one. Please read andreview your books.
This was a good quick read, the characters were interesting and I look forward to learning more about them in future books. The story was just enough to get me really interested in the book and the series.
